This year, the first day of spring occurred on Tuesday March 19, 2024. Here in Northern Idaho the weather has been mild with high temperatures reaching the middle 60s F/18 C. I have seen early greening and growth of plant life in our neighborhood. Flowering plants are springing up in some locations. I have seen some flowers appearing as well.
However, the weather is very changeable at this time of year so we expect a return to rain with snow in the mountains over the next several days.
