The Day After St. Valentine’s Day

The weather here began cloudy and cold. By afternoon it was partly sunny and warmer if the upper 30s is warm. Our dog Finny cried to go outside to relieve himself at 4:30 in the morning. This process repeated itself two more times for a total of three by sunrise. Later we found out that the little Boykin Spaniel had diarrhea.

He recovered enough to go on a little walk this afternoon. His appetite returned this evening.

Brownie was a much better eater than Finny. She would eat anything, even dog food which Finny hates.

Our whole family, including Finny, is looking forward to spring. We are grateful for the lengthing days. I am still working on “Mortimer’s Odyssey”. The first draft is done and I’m working on the second.

I wish everyone a joyful February!!!

Hi, I'm Gregory Lamberty. I wrote "For the Love of Our Dog Brownie". Brownie was our dog. She lived eighteen and a half years. My wife Colleen took care of Brownie, trained her and took care of her. Colleen was the one who inspired me to write about Brownie. Colleen's training and love set Brownie apart from other dogs. That was what made her special.
