We had Brownie for eighteen and a half years. Eighteen and a half years gives you a lot of material to tell stories. Brownie was born and lived in Northern Indiana. She also lived in South Carolina and ended her life in Idaho. I plan to write five volumes covering the first five years of Brownie’s life.
The distinctive nature of her breed combination made Brownie stand out. Many thought she was a small Labrador Retriver. Two boys asked us for one of her puppies. We said Brownie couldn’t have puppies. Too bad.
