Brownie and Christmas

Here is a small clip from the book “For the Love of Our Dog Brownie”.

“The weather was sunny and cold for the drive into George-Ville. A dusting of snow lay on the ground. Lauren’s hope for a White Christmas was dashed. The family arrived at church about fifteen minutes before Mass. Some of the children had to visit the restroom, so it was good they were early.

Father Ken gave wonderful talk on the first Christmas. He painted a word picture of the first Christmas. He concluded his talk by stating that the worst thing one can do is sin. The Son of God came into the world as a little baby so He could save us from our sins. He opened the way to heaven, the only way. “There’s no joy without Jesus. Without Him there’s no hope.”

As she left Mass, Lauren pondered God’s immense love for her. She still wondered why Brownie wandered into the Christmas room that morning. There was no food to draw her there.”

Hi, I'm Gregory Lamberty. I wrote "For the Love of Our Dog Brownie". Brownie was our dog. She lived eighteen and a half years. My wife Colleen took care of Brownie, trained her and took care of her. Colleen was the one who inspired me to write about Brownie. Colleen's training and love set Brownie apart from other dogs. That was what made her special.
