Seventh Installment of Chapter 1 of “For the Love of Our Dog Brownie” Volume 2
The racket in the kitchen worried Brownie, I must do my business. I need to make more noise so they can hear me.
Lauren was in the process of mixing the pancake batter when she heard the whine emanating from the laundry room.
“Hey Jack, can you take Brownie out to do her business?”
“Do I have to? I need to pack my books.”
“You should have thought about that last night. I can’t do it. I’m helping Mom with breakfast,” Lauren said.
“Can we switch places?”
“No now get the leash. It is in the laundry room on the wall right next to Brownie’s cage.”
“Thanks,” Jack mumbled. He dragged his feet into the laundry room, snapped on Brownie’s leash and brought the little dog out to the back yard. Brownie wandered around on the bare grass and sniffed at the Bennett fence.
There’s always some interesting news over there. Lots of dogs were here before me.
Installment eight of chapter 1 of Volume 2 will be released tomorrow.
